Boomtown Restaurant and Coffee Shop, located right in the heart of the city at GRA, is a great spot for anyone looking to unwind in a stylish and lively setting. The ambiance is inviting, with a well-thought-out interior design and aesthetics that immediately set the mood. They also offer outdoor seating, which is perfect for enjoying the evening air, and it’s a popular spot where people gather to watch live football matches on the big screen.
Their menu features a variety of cocktails, drinks, and grilled options. The grilled fish, while tasty, comes at a steep ₦20,000, and even a bottle of Flying Fish is priced at ₦3,000. While the food and drinks are enjoyable, the pricing may feel on the higher side. Another downside is the limited parking space, which can be inconvenient during peak hours.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Boomtown. The atmosphere, the entertainment, and the service made it worth the visit. Despite the price and parking challenges, I’d recommend it for a nice hangout spot in the city.
I am an Asian so not putting my opinion on the cuisine taste as it much depends on local geography. However the sitting ambience is kind of casual. The house flies were abundant and the barbeque took forever until we were full with snacks and drinks. We went there for Barbeque specially, but we had to pack it as it was already too late.
Very terrible service. The waiter kept forgetting my order, the Smirnoff she brought was dirty, I was given a 45 minute wait time for my meal and when I asked for a snack to munch on, the waiter said I had to compulsorily buy a drink from the bar before I could get groundnut.
It’s a cool place, I went on a Sunday evening so it was somewhat crowded and busy. The DJ and Hypeman were good. The waiter who served us was really jovial and swift. I had the Boomtown special milkshake and it was really nice and I also tried the gizdodo which was equally delicious
Maybe I’ll go there again but I’ll try not to go on a weekend so I’ll see what the atmosphere looks like on a weekday.
Great food and large portions. I’d specifically recommend their shawarma to anyone, I’d say it’s the best I’ve had in Port-Harcourt. The prices are worth the food portions, also a good place to watch football with the outdoor large screens. The service is prompt and staff are courteous.
