We had just arrived in Lagos and for our first meal we were privileged to have found this place. Entirely by accident, as it was closest place open to the Eko Hotel nearby.
I have to admit, this place left an impression. It wasn’t just the food, but the vibe, the service and the attention to detail were all top notch.
We started off with a complimentary bread basket with a serving of olive oil, Arab spices, tomatoes and olives. The bread was warm and fresh and the spice dip with olive oil was surprisingly tasty. Next came the hummus with meat and the tabbouleh. The tabbouleh was exceptional but I thought the hummus was a bit bland.
For our mains we had the mixed grill and the lamb special. I got to say the lamb special was, well… special. It was soft to the bone and flaked off to touch. The long grain rice was smoky but moist, I can only wonder how they got this combo going. Very tasty indeed.
We ended with a complimentary fruit platter courtesy of our excellent waiter.
Probably the best Arab/Lebanese restaurant in Lagos. Not that I’ve been to another but I’ve tasted Arab food from around the world and this is as authentic as it comes. Highly recommended.
The first and best Lebanese food I have ever tasted. The waiting service was quite attentive as well. The waiter’s had a good grasp of the menu and her recommendations were on point. She explained how to pair the dishes and how to mix condiments to get the best out of the experience. Ambience was 👌🏾
Yasmin AL Sham was quite an experience I'd recommend for everyone. If you are looking to explore and be adventurous with your taste buds, there are a lot of amazing dishes available to try. Also, they have very courteous staff who would give you heads-up on what to expect, best sellers and Nigerian favorites should you require some guidance. There is also a nice attire you get to wear and take pictures at the end of your time there to further seal the perfect Arabian feeling to match the ambiance of the restaurant. Kudos to the team.
Had a good time. Arabian themed restaurant, food is responsibly priced, protein is Halal, no alcohol options on the drinks menu, great tea, shisha lovers would love this place and ambiance transports you to the UAE 🇦🇪.
Great add on was the complementary valet parking.
Only downside was my waiter who had an attitude, as he behaved as tho he didn’t appreciate serving I and my friend. We observed he had a different attitude when he went to tables that had men ( did someone say sexist? ).
I feel as if I've left Lagos when I arrive here! A bit beautiful restaurant with lovely ambience. The food is incredible: delicious, healthy and beautifully presented. This is one of my favourite places to eat in the city.
