Wakame felt incredibly warm and cozy. The decor was lovely, and the whole place had a great, inviting feel. Especially the lighting, which was soft and just right.
The music was also perfect; quiet and not too loud, which made it easy to relax and chat. I can't even remember if we heard music, lol.
The wait staff were good too, attentive and helpful.
For my food, I had the beef tenderloin with jasmine rice, and it was amazing! The beef was super tender and cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious.
My friend ordered noodles, but they didn't really like theirs; it might have just been that type of noodle or maybe they just didn't like it.
The only real downside was the wait. Our drinks came fast, but it took about 40 minutes for our main dishes to arrive, which was a bit long.
Still, I enjoyed the experience overall!
I went to here after seeing this place on TripAdvisor thought reservations were needed, but they are not unless it’s really busy hotel attendees were super nice and giving us directions. Server was very friendly and approachable. Also had good recommendations. Food was amazing atmosphere was beautiful even got to talk to the head chef I would recommend this place
I was hesitant to come here due to knowing that there is a wait for food. So I had that thought in mind when I came. The set up is nice and cool vibe. I didn’t see on the menu the drink but I saw the photo so I said I wanted this exact one. It took a while for my drink to come. It was literally one drink at a time coming out. I mean literally took a while. It’s a QR code to check the menu items. I didn’t ask about how big the ramen was as I was beyond hungry from the wait. So I ordered the vegan ramen, a veggie spring roll and 4piece tofu roll. Now that’s a lot. The ramen came out first and it was a big portion to me. I mentioned I ordered two other things and I want to cancel since nothing came out and it’s been over an hour and others haven’t received their items. They assured me the appetizer and roll will come. I didn’t want to eat anymore seeing how big it was. They were not canceling the order so I just had those two. I ordered the pina colada as I saw someone order one and I didn’t care for the taste and they never took that off the order.i even tipped but if someone asks to cancel a food order allow that. That was the longest wait for food I’ve ever had. This was longer than a hour wait.
The ramen was ok, the noodles were a little over cooked to me but so many love the food. The spring rolls were ok not bad an all. The roll was ok as well. The drink was the highlight meal.
Would I return, I would have a Togo order, I’ve never waited that long anywhere to eat.
This was a top-notch experience
Went on a Sunday, so it was buffet time (38k per head) comes with complementary 75cl bottled water and a choice of cocktail (refilled available) or mocktail.
Customer service was over the roof, everyone was invested in making sure we had a good time.
At some point I had to stop taking food because I'd had enough. Starters to maindish to side to dessert. Omoo, for that price, it was an experience.
There are many good things about Wakame but the one bad thing is that food prep is very slow!
If you're hungry or you quickly want to grab a bite don't even try to come here lol.
Bless the heart of the waiter he tried but the prep was slow and we were just four people dining in the entire restaurant at that time, I'd hate to see what dining when the place is packed is like.
Overall the food itself tasted great, and the presentation was awesome!
The restaurant is a bit pricey, I'd say a budget of 20k per person for food should suffice.
