It was a pleasant surprise and experience to be honest. I was most impressed with their physical structure - creative and smart.
Then the food was refreshing- I was scared at first but ended up impressed.
My only wish is for them to add coffee to the menu - maybe get a barista or start with basic coffee service.
Can't wait to go back!!
Sotees is one of those “oh let’s just go to the closest restaurant” discovery. Never heard of it till Google maps.
I’m a lover of cozy, not crowded places and this fits perfectly.
Food- Starter was bread and one of the best chicken cream soup I’ve had.
Main food was Pesto Pasta(with chicken strips and a drizzle of cheese) and Turkey Barbecue(with fried yam, carrot and cream sauce)
The turkey was just the perfect honey glazed texture, yam was a bit too oily but that concern quickly disappeared when I had it with the creamy dip🤤🤤)
The pesto pasta well, not so great. It had a bitter after taste and only got better when I drizzled the yam sauce on it. Definitely not recommend.
Drinks- Margarita and Mojito. While I like my drink strong, I definitely don’t want the originality of the cocktail lost. The alcohol was too much especially in the mojito. While this would have been great for Long Island but it ruined the sweetness expected of a mojito. It’s best to have just the mocktails.
Service- Arinola was the server and let me just say he deserves a raise(that’s why you get 3 instead of 2 stars bdw).
I love the serenity of Sotee and I definitely would love to go one more time just for their karaoke. Perhaps The cocktails will taste better and I’d try something new off the menu.
This is a very cool and cozy spot, the ambient is super lovely, and the staffs are amazing as well. I read reviews about Sotées before going there and heres what I have to say for myself:
- reviews made me feel the food was the best my taste buds would have, so I went there with high expectations, I think on this premise my expectations weren't met.
- the staffs are awesome
- the toilet needs a mirror
- the pricing is just great (affordable)
Service was slow. Ordered the American Breakfast. Omelet was good. Waffles not so much. Bacon had no taste unfortunately. Our meal did not come with all the items listed.. No mimosa
I'd say a nice place, good environment. Our Orders were served a bit late because only 1 waitress attended to all the customers. The foods and drinks are okay.
