NOK by Alara is a contemporary African restaurant, and the culinary extension of Reni Folawiyo’s concept to celebrate and elevate all aspects of African lifestyle.
At NOK, we reinvent classics of African cooking, giving foods with which we are familiar an innovative twist. Nestled within a lush bamboo-framed garden, NOK is an intimate dining space displaying contemporary Art and Design from the all over the continent.
With the Senegalese New-York-based chef, Pierre Thiam as executive chef, NOK aims to give you a rare dining experience that celebrates the distinctive flavours from all over the African continent.

a month agoNOK by Alara was an absolutely beautiful experience – stylish, fancy, with great music and truly top-notch food. We visited as a group and had a lovely table. The atmosphere was vibrant, and we had such a good time. But the real highlight of our evening was, without a doubt, Mercy. Mercy is a top-notch waitress with outstanding service. She brought the magic to our table and made the evening truly special. I’m incredibly grateful for her presence and care. We’re the ones with the pants – just a little reminder So dear NOK, you can be very proud of Mercy. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We’ll be back!

a month agoMy mom was craving Amala and have always wanted to try the NOK Amala , so I decided we go there ! Also have been seeing the famous tall orange building everyone took picture at and wanted to use there for my new design which perfectly aligns with the NOKbyAlara Indigenous outlook ! Our total spent for 3 was 104k and the Amala was tasty ! I had the oxtail rice which was way spicy for me (you might need to request it doesnot come with too much spice) Overall I give the place 8/10 cus of its outdoor aesthetics.

11 months agoNOK by Alara ateeeeee 👏👏👏👏 Lovely ambience, aesthetically pleasing and brilliant use of colors💯 The use of plants to enrich the environment creates a stunning first impression, making the surroundings feel inviting and beautiful right away. I love that the colorful umbrellas provides perfect shelter from the sun while adding a touch of style to the space. The Space offers the option of indoor and outdoor eating. It's easy to locate and there is free parking space. Came here for the Abula (Amala, Gbegiri and Ewedu) and Nok did not disappoint 👏👏👏💯💯💯 I'll def be back soon as l've not been able to get the deliciousness of the food out of my mind The assorted meat were properly cook and soft, no struggle at all. I had the Extracted tea and i love the thoughtfulness behind it because it contains fruits and herbs to help cleans the immune system. The Tea pot is so cute 🍵🫖 Chefs and staffs were awesome and the service was very professional.

a year agoVery interesting touch on local recipes. Atmosphere is amazing, especially with that neighbour boutique store. You can find something to eat for everyone - there is choice of meat, fish, vegs, drinks of all sorts. Recommend to go with a big company, and enjoy the candlelit evening
