Called ahead for reservations. Sent in our order and virtually everything we picked was not available, had to settle for what they had when we got there.
The crab that was served with the carrot rice and seafood pasta wasn’t fresh and tasted bad. Same with the seafood noodles- we had to return the it (and still paid for it!!!). Like it was terrible!
The smell coming from the stream nearby was so nauseating.
Service was very slow. Had to keep looking for our waitress each time we needed anything.
The only good thing about our time there was the band. Those guys are good! Finished all my money on them
Very nice setting. Near a lake/river so air was very cool and not too hot. Live music was really nice but very loud so couldn’t hear each other talk. Went downstairs where it was quieter. Food was absolutely delicious and huge amount. Had to take home my remaining food at a cost though. Price also not bad.
In my personal opinion, I feel the place is quite overhyped. They took the rustic village vibe a bit too far. The food takes an awful long time to get ready the dining space upstairs isn’t really ideal seeing that it’s overlooking a dam/Canal so the smell lingers. However in terms of the quality and quantity of food, you get value for money. Would I revisit, maybe not, or maybe sometime far in the future.
I love here! The vibe is awesome. The cinema is great. I even had a private viewing for the cost of a public viewing hehe! The aura is lovely. A lot of thought went into the aesthetics. The food I ate was delicious too. The live band was great. The Crown Troupes theatre performance - fantastic!
I've been here a couple of times for various things. You should go there too. It's off Opebi. You drive or walk down the length of the estate.
I had a great time here. I love the traditional vibes I got here. the wooden seats, the converted bath tub, the artworks, amongst others. The food was also great. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy your weekend with family and friends. They have a cinema too which shows some great Nigerian movies you can enjoy with the family
