This Jamaican restaurant in Lagos was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant Caribbean atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable experience. The food was exceptional, rich, bold flavors that were perfectly balanced and clearly made with care and authenticity. Every bite reminded me why Jamaican cuisine is so loved: comforting, soulful, and deeply satisfying.
The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made the entire experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Portions were generous, presentation was on point, and the overall quality exceeded my expectations. It’s not every day you find a place that gets both the food and the vibe so right.
If you’re in Lagos and looking for a spot that delivers incredible taste, great energy, and a truly enjoyable dining experience, this place is a must-visit. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it’s my go-to spot in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Great food but the place was a bit hot. It’s really affordable in a world of Lagos price madness. The punch and lemonade were fresh and refreshing to taste.
Service was quite slow even down to bringing the bill for payment. They have very sizeable portions for the complete meals.
Definitely will go back
We were so so happy to find Caribbean/Jamaican food in VI. Was so excited to go after seeing reviews. We loved it. Great service and cosy environment. What was amazing is that everything on the menu was available ! Patties, coco bread, black cake etc all made by Jamski. Papajam the owner was very accommodating & ensured we were looked after well. Definitely recommend this place and especially the black cake- delicious. We will be back for sure.
The food is top-notch!! I will recommend the oxtail, jerk chicken and pumpkin rice combo. Then top it up with the myriad drinks available — with the patties, which are HEAVENLY.
I've visited Jamski three times in a single week because their food is incredibly tasty. The diverse range of Jamaican delicacies keeps drawing me back. I've tried three different meals, and all of them are worth recommending. My top pick is the Currygoat paired with Sorree Rum Punch. The atmosphere is serene, and the service is excellent.
The food is so amazing that it makes me want to travel to Jamaica just to experience it in its home country.
I would give it a 10/10 recommendation.
