The restaurant is very spacious and airy, I like the table settings, although I feel like the couch was too low and made eating a bit difficult, but overall, the aesthetic of the restaurant is nice. I especially like the bathroom, it was clean!
Service was very swift and the waiter was friendly too. We ordered the spring rolls and fried rice with peppered chicken, grilled/barbecued chicken and strawberry milkshakes.
The spring rolls were the best thing we ordered. It tased really good and the sauce that came with it really complimented it too. It was just the right amount of savoury and spicy, we genuinely enjoyed it. The fried rice was VERY BLAND! The chicken, both the peppered and grilled/barbecued chicken, were VERY DRY! Chewing it took so much effort, we did not enjoy it at all. The milkshake tasted like a mixture of milk and red colouring powder with a lot of sugar. Nothing about it felt like a strawberry milkshake in my opinion.
In total, we paid about #54,000 which I think was overpriced for the food we had. If it had tasted better, maybe it would have been worth the price. Overall, the food was very underwhelming, I don’t think I’ll be visiting again
Cilantro was an amazing experience from start to finish. We didn’t have to wait for a table and the staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. Among the many restaurants I’ve visited in Lagos, Cilantro’s staff stood out for their friendliness, patience and helpfulness.
The restaurant itself is spacious and beautifully designed, with aesthetic details that truly deserve a 10 out of 10. We had a party of about ten, and we found a large seating area that was perfect for our group.
When it came to the food, everything was delicious. I had the half chicken, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. But what truly blew me away was the dessert: the chocolate brownie was sizzling and delicious, paired with cold ice cream, creating the perfect contrast. It was, without a doubt, the best dessert I’ve had on the mainland and it’s definitely made me eager to return for more.
The waitress was very patient and lovely , she attended to us well. The food was so good , giving it a 10/10 but the milkshake , the Oreos milkshake was tasting more like chocolate milkshake, the Oreos only one was inside so a 4/10 the strawberry milkshake was a 8/10. The food came really fast though the waiting period wasn’t long at all mine came in 10mins but I think this depends on the food you are ordering. Love the Ambience was giving family restaurant vibes will definitely be going back there !
It’s more of an Indian restaurant
Loved the food
It's a really nice place for birthdays, proposals, it's extremely spacious. The ambience is great and lovely.
I had chicken as a starter meal, had mashed potatoes and lamb chop as my main meal. Had chocolate shake too.
I wasn't restricted from taking pictures either.
However they serve their takeout meals in Nylon bags. For the kind of restaurant and the amount they charge, id expected that the food plastic is put in a paper bag, not a nylon bag. I consider tacky.
Their salads are not of this world. Freshly made and with the purest of hygiene.
I went back again for a second helping.
The serenity you experience from the moment you walk in, to the reception, to their prompt delivery of your order- everything is great.
And their staff are also well behaved.
Ill be there again.
