Their service was a bit slow, but the food tasted absolutely nice. I loved it.
I had fried chicken and ordered the Afang and swmo soup home, it was heavenly. It tasted really nice.
They also have games to keep you engaged while you wait for your meal or to just have fun with your partner/friends or who you came with.
They also have different seating areas (indoor/outdoor) that you can choose from.
The asethetic was already nice if you love the African vibe.
This is my second time here in a week. The food is a hit. The ambiance is so chill with great music. And the service was great. Joy attended to us and was super attentive to me and my boys. And took great care of us. We will definitely be back. ….and one more thing we love alllll the games to entertain while we wait.
My sister and I got the chickendodo dish and cocktails: Sex on the beach, red passion w/ a shot of tequila. The cocktails were really good. The food was ok, would’ve liked more seasoning but the portion was perfect. Overall, service was a bit slow. We had to wait for our food for almost 1.5 hrs. Joy was an amazing server and she was the best thing that happened in this place!
In summary, they almost ruined MY celebration with their awful bowls of soups.
We ordered 5 different soups from them (Afang, Native, Oha, Egusi, and Nsala), NONE of them (not even one) was good. After a few servings including mine, no one could eat out of it after the first bite. We immediately stop serving soups and pounded yam.
See photos for some visuals. The oil was sticky and didn't mix with the water in the soup, only a few stock and dry fish was in them, it tastes bad, leaving an appalling aftertaste in your mouth, not even a road-side food can be this bad, and for a NIGERIAN restaurant, it's simply a SHAME.
When this was reported and returned to them, they denied their CREATION (the soups) at first, that's how HOW it was. Finally, when they accepted, they claimed that the soups are spoilt. So which is it? Not your soups? or that you sold us spoilt soups? Of course, no remorse, no apologies, and certainly no accountability.
The reviews here nudged us to try them out, but we were utterly disappointed, leaving our guests with disgusting looks just by tasting their soups. Thank goodness, we got meals from other vendors as well (see the events Menu attached).
I DO NOT recommend them, certainly NOT for any occasional or event.
Ordered fisherman soup, it was missing crabs and snails, even though we were assured it contained snails. Wait staff was so slow in clearing out tables.Asides that, food tasted nice.
Also the ground entrance leading upstairs to the restaurant was smelly.
