Elysium was not that great, to be honest, starting from trying to locate the actual entrance, to taking the wrong turn to go upstairs to coming back downstairs and eventually locating the glass door. The ambiance is nice and looks quite classy, but service was a bit below par. We had the stake combo meal and had the whole ceremony that came along with it, but on biting into it, it was underwhelming. That's besides the issues with flies and power going off and the AC not apparently coming back on for a bit.
The drinks were great, and the appetizer was refreshing. So, not all woes.
Finally, the glassy structure is also not very protected from sunlight, and so it can become quite uncomfortable based on that. We also tried dessert from the shop at the front, and it was also 'bleh'. But you know what, don't take my word for it, check them out, and let me know if I am wrong!
Nearly perfect 5 stars...
Except that there was no Pepsi, and the wait time was a bit long.
I enjoyed the focaccia I got while waiting.
I really enjoyed visiting here.
I had a great time at Elysium Lagos. The service was great. The waitress who attended to me was super friendly and patient.
The meal was great. I had a pasta, the waitress recommended. I think it’s the tail prawn tagliatelle(creamy) it was so good.
I also had the vanilla milkshake which was also tasty. It was budget friendly and I think the minimum spend per person according to their policy is 70k. Lest I forget, the ambience was average.
I went there on a Thursday night, so they had this karaoke thingy going on.
All in all, I had a great time there and I got the value for the money I spent.
You won't see the value for your money. I said let me take my order piecemeal so I can savour it but they forced me to order everything at once. First told me they only do 70k and up. I said I saw 20k+ online. I've been to better upscale restaurants that offers same for better value. Their chicken bang bang or something was terrible. The only consolation was the smoothie, it was good. They could do better. Thank God I didn't spend more. I genuinely I'm not impressed with their food and I didn't eat it. They can serve it themselves and enjoy. You'd also wonder why no single diner was in that restaurant for my whole 3 hours stay. Like I shut down the restaurant for myself. Would have made for a good romantic dinner. The advantage of the zero patronage within that long period, for a Wednesday late evening

3 months agoI had a solo dinner date here. The food was yummy took forever though but it was worth it and I had a salad to go too. Food is a bit pricey but good.
