I had a great experience eating here. The staff were really nice and the food tasted great and filling. It's a nice place to visit with friends, family or even go on a date. You even have an option of your order being brought to you at their cinema located in the same building, that's if you choose to see a movie.

I think this might be the best restaurant in Lagos. My cousin has been away for over 12 years, came to Nigeria and the first thing he asked for was a place where he can get a proper Nigeria local dish. I didn't hesitate. Took him straight to afefeyeye also telling him it is owned by the renowned Nollywood filmmaker, kunle afolayan We got there and he liked the environment. Man kept commenting on the swallow he got, how good it was and how he has missed eating it like they don't have a Nigerian local dish restaurant in the USA. Anyway, we had a hell of a time, staff were well mannered and food came on time. He even took extra to the hotel he was Lodged in.

Called ahead for reservations. Sent in our order and virtually everything we picked was not available, had to settle for what they had when we got there. The crab that was served with the carrot rice and seafood pasta wasn’t fresh and tasted bad. Same with the seafood noodles- we had to return the it (and still paid for it!!!). Like it was terrible! The smell coming from the stream nearby was so nauseating. Service was very slow. Had to keep looking for our waitress each time we needed anything. The only good thing about our time there was the band. Those guys are good! Finished all my money on them

Very nice setting. Near a lake/river so air was very cool and not too hot. Live music was really nice but very loud so couldn’t hear each other talk. Went downstairs where it was quieter. Food was absolutely delicious and huge amount. Had to take home my remaining food at a cost though. Price also not bad.

In my personal opinion, I feel the place is quite overhyped. They took the rustic village vibe a bit too far. The food takes an awful long time to get ready the dining space upstairs isn’t really ideal seeing that it’s overlooking a dam/Canal so the smell lingers. However in terms of the quality and quantity of food, you get value for money. Would I revisit, maybe not, or maybe sometime far in the future.
