The food is very delicious but small which depends on how much you eat.
The service is great with a smile.
They just need to work on their rest room. No keys on the door, no napkins for hands cleaning after washing hands.
I recently visited Woks & Koi Chinese Restaurant in Abuja, and it was a truly satisfying dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance felt warm, elegant, and inviting — perfect for both casual dining and a relaxed evening out.
I ordered the Chinese Shrimp Fried Rice paired with Prawn Chilli Sauce, and the combination was simply delightful. The fried rice was flavorful, well-seasoned, and not oily — each grain had that perfect wok aroma that only real Chinese kitchens can achieve. The prawn chilli sauce was rich, spicy, and packed with fresh prawns cooked to perfection — tender on the inside with just the right kick of heat.
To complement the meal, I had a bottle of Four Cousins Red Wine, which balanced the spicy flavors beautifully and added a nice touch of smoothness to the whole experience.
The staff were courteous and attentive without being intrusive, and the service time was just right. Prices were fair considering the quality and portion sizes, and the restaurant maintained a clean, classy environment throughout.
Overall, Woks & Koi delivers a great blend of authentic Chinese taste and fine dining comfort. Highly recommended for anyone in Abuja craving a well-prepared Asian meal in a cozy, upscale setting.
🍛 Meal: Chinese Shrimp Fried Rice + Prawn Chilli Sauce
🍷 Drink: Four Cousins Red Wine
📍 Location: Woks & Koi Chinese Restaurant, Abuja
💬 Verdict: 5/5 — Excellent food, perfect pairing, and top-notch service.
Easily the best Asian restaurant in the Wuse II area! The quality of the food is consistently excellent and well worth the price. I’ve tried the noodles, chicken curry, fried rice, and shrimp dishes — all flavorful and freshly prepared. A great spot if you’re craving authentic Asian cuisine in Abuja!
Woks & Koi is a cute and intimate spot for solid Chinese eats. The prawn spring roll was quite literally the best I’ve had in a while—the roll-to-filling ratio was perfection. Service was polite and attentive, and they get a personal 10/10 from me for offering a hot towel at the start (pro tip to elevate: a drop of essential oil on the towel would take it to the next level!).
The cranberry virgin daiquiri was refreshing and delicious, the calamari hit that sweet spot between soft and firm, and the pepper sauce packed both heat and flavor. The space is beautifully decorated, but refreshingly doesn't fall into the all-too-common Abuja trap of overdoing aesthetics while neglecting the food. It strikes a perfect balance—clean, calm, and focused on delivering a great dining experience. One of those oldie-but-goodie true gems of the city. Bonus points for being baby-friendly—I was serenaded by a very satisfied toddler diner.
The venue is spacious and pleasant, with an above-average taste in food and commendable service. The atmosphere, while decent, could better reflect its Asian identity as a Chinese restaurant. Authenticity is commendable, and prices are competitive, although there's room for improvement. I would recommend this place, especially for those seeking Chinese cuisine.
