NKOYO is avery imaginative and picturesque restaurant like no other in the Abuja, a must visit for anyone seeking a combination of delicious local delicacies with plush and waxing setting to the bargain.
I had my 19th(?) or so birthday here about a decade ago and that was my first time. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed this spot. During my last trip home, I went twice in a week with friends.
They’ve been able to maintain high standards: warmth, value, pricing and taste. 💓
I've been twice in 4 days. They say the portions are measured but the pounded yam is defo different each time.
Something about the food seems to turn my tummy a bit. Granted, i don't eat meat, so hygiene standards must be high anywhere in eat to avoid food contamination. I appreciate their food is typically ready in 25 minutes, so no long excessive waits. Staff are pleasant!
Very great and comfy place for a romantic meal. Music is soft, ambient light is warm and the food is heavenly. Everything is just perfect here. Food is not so pricey even...
The service is of very high standards and the food arrived quite fast. Minimal complains
I must say, I'm in love with the facility!!! I love the creative concept and setup. The service too is good and the facility is clean.
The meals took some time to deliver, but it was worth the wait. I had salad, shrimps, and fresh juice.
There was piano playing in the background, and it was just soothing. The lightning was balanced and sufficient. I just wished they also layered lights on the roof glass covering.
My overall experience was good this time.
Located on the first floor of the mall, the restaurant is easily accessible. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. The Indoor seating is dimly lit but the outdoor seating area is actually enclosed but with skylights so it's quite bright during the day and they have plants around. They have local paintings for sale and other Nigerian crafts. It brings the whole atmosphere together. They have an open kitchen and you can see where your food is being prepared, it's clean and the restaurant is well ventilated.
Their menu consists of both Indian and Nigerian dishes with continental twists. The murals on the wall of the space reflect that. We did have to wait over an hour for our food but we could tell it was freshly made. Their meals are affordable and they taste really good.
They asked if it was one of our birthdays and it was so we said as much, we didn't ask for anything though. When we were done eating, the servers all came out and sang and brought ice cream. We thought it was a nice gesture until the bill came and the ice cream was on the bill. They don't even have a dessert menu so I thought it was doubly weird.
Overall, the food is quite good but the service is slow. Would go back.
