Gusto is proof that sometimes you really do have to give places a second chance. My first visit was on a bustling Saturday night in the outdoor space, and I left pretty underwhelmed. The only thing I distinctly remember enjoying was the music.
Fast forward a few years later, a Monday afternoon lunch date with a girlfriend, after our first and second choices were both closed, and Gusto ended up being the closest option. I’m so glad I didn’t immediately shut it down. The indoor ambiance felt upscale and spacious, much more refined than my first experience. That said, coming in from the hot outdoors, it could definitely have been a lot cooler inside.
The service was attentive and pleasant, and the food was actually quite tasty this time around, though the portions were on the smaller side. Overall, a much better experience than my first visit and a reminder that timing (and seating choice) can really shape your impression of a place.
We celebrated our anniversary at Gusto Abuja. There grilled prawns are amazing and every time we go we order the same thing. But keep changing the starters and the desserts. Good service and helpful staff. Prices are pretty steep.

Went for open sushi night, was really delicious. 50k for all you can eat sushi.
Will come again for sure with friends.

Gusto delivered a truly elevated dining experience. From the chic atmosphere to the attentive service, everything felt thoughtfully curated. Most dishes were a hit: the sushi was fresh and flavorful (though I wish the rolls were a little more bite-sized), and the cocktail was tasty.
The only note is that the veggie rice could’ve used a touch more finesse. The vegetables were slightly undercooked. Overall, the experience was elegant and relaxed and worth revisiting. I’ll be back.
