Food so awesome, we ate there for two consecutive days! The first day, I had the grilled Chilean fish, while my partner had the Prawn Linguine. They tasted amazing! The pasta was made as spicy as my partner requested. Towards the end of our meal, we broke a wine glass mistakenly and we expected to see it as part of the bill but we didn't. On further enquiry, to our utmost surprise, we were told that it was on the house. The following day, we were back for more! We'd been driving around for a bit thinking about a new spot to hit but we decided to go back here because of great our last experience was. This time, I had the roasted Peking Guinea Fowl (which was marinated oh so well because you could taste the rich flavour all through) with a side of rice. My partner, who is a huge seafood and pasta fan, had the seafood pasta. This was also very well made. Infact, the whole experience from the staff to the food and drinks, was awesome. Would recommend 100%.

The ambiance is welcoming, the staff very polite and helpful. The meal is delicious and the cocktail wasn’t so strong (I like mine strong though), above all it’s a must visit. It’s also a picture friendly environment because of the lights during day time. I spent about $60 on the 1kg Tomahawk and about $8 on the cocktail. A bit expensive but worth it.

The food and ambience was awesome however there are few things that could be better. My friend asked for no mushrooms (twice) and her food came with mushrooms. The kitchen rectified this immediately though. Then some houseflies somehow got into the space. Other than this, the meal tasted amazing, I definitely appreciated that my fries tasted very very fresh, the cocktails where as strong as we liked! I will be going back again

Hi, I hope this review meets you well and I hope that it helps your navigation through the Capital. 💕 X 💡 Today’s review is for The Council, Abuja. The Council is still a pretty new spot, located just by the British council. It seems hidden at first, you would barely know the spot’s just right there. Before going, I had gotten some heads up that the place could be pretty much jammed in the evening/night, so I made a conscious effort to go at noon so I would be comfortable and then get good pictures for you guys So on arriving here, we were received by one of the waiters, she was really polite and dressed quite neatly and in an attractive fashion. She asked if we were just stopping by for drinks or food and we said food, and then she directed us to the seats reserved for dinning as the space is partitioned into two. There’s the side reserved for dinning and then a lounge corner for those who would be stopping by for just drinks. There’s also a lounge upstairs even though it isn’t so spacious. After we sat, the menus were handed to us immediately then we were given a moment to go through and place our orders. After I placed my order, I decided to look around and take some pictures, this was received well as everyone was trying to help me get good pictures. By the time I was done taking pictures my drink was on the table and my food was on it’s way. Our order: Poultry grilled chicken and Mildly - 6,500 Naira Texan bbq chicken - 6,000 Naira Vanilla milkshake -3,000 Naira Pineapple juice - 1,500 Naira Total was 17,000 Naira (There was no separate service charge and this was surprising but at the same time, it made me happy) All in all the food was really good..loved the fries! I don’t know what seasoning they used for it but I was all for it. The milkshake was really good too (been a while I had one that tasted that good tbh) Aside the food being good, the space is really lovely, from the aesthetics (yellow and forest green seats, the bar, the walls covered with false grass carpet) to the ambience. I love that it’s covered with glass so you could see right outside while you’re dinning in. So here’s another spot in the Buj you should try out and as one of the inscriptions on their wall says it’s a “stress free zone” it is the perfect place to unwind. Bisou bisou 💕

The Council Restaurant is a really nice restaurant at the British Council at Maitama. The restaurant is very hard to miss with the no parking no waiting signs but at night once you take the first exit from the Maitama roundabout, you'll see the lights to your right. The restaurant has a really nice ambience at night. The music on Friday is actually good. It however comes alive around 8pm. The food and drinks are amazing. I don't think I have ever enjoyed jambalaya that much but it was really good. The drink was great too, the strawberry Daiquiri and Mojito were good. The Mojito had a bitter after taste tho. I really don't believe the food is expensive too. I have heard a lot of people say the food is expensive but for a top class restaurant in Maitama, I do believe the rates are really affordable. The only thing for concern was the staff, although they were quite professional but they kept staring while we had our dinner which was quite uncomfortable. The couch was also quite far from the table and that wasn't comfortable too. Ambience ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Service ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Drinks ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐ Food ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Location ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
