The food is GREAT! I mean great! It has that authentic home cooked taste. It's a very neat place and you don't get bothered by flies or other insects. The service is fast! The time they quote for the food to be ready is exactly the time the food is ready!
This is a collection of restaurants, open air bar and lounge. I came mainly to eat. The food was nice though there wasn't any prawn in my fisherman Soup as was advertised. They food took really forever to come. The water channel intended for design purpose and the surrounding areas should be cleaned and fumigated regularly. The water body was dirty. The waitress was really pleasant. The open air club is very vibrant and uplifting if you don't mind drinking and dancing in the open. I'd like to visit again still.
I don’t like how underutilize their space is. I mean inside the restaurant is large and spacious but the chairs where scattered, the whole area looked scattered maybe cuz it was a Friday night and hundreds of people were at papies and about 50 at okonkwo so probably chairs and table were displaced. But I’d advice they bring in more tables and nice chairs into the hall and create a better sitting arrangement.
The space is neat tho, with nice art works, A.C & television. The service compared to papies was somewhat faster but my company of friends tot otherwise. Cuz we needed an Abacha to go and that came last while others eating in came in first.
The portion was large that they couldn’t finish it. I had a taste (wasn’t hungry) and it was ok.
Drinks are served cold which is nice.
Also heard their restroom was clean (didn’t use it) plus the receipt was handwritten dunno if it’s their style but hey 🤷♀️.
In all, still a nice place to come by.
Design: In terms of design, I didn’t see anything special about it. It was not thought out carefully, especially the inside seating area at the Okonkwo section. Also, the outside sitting areas should include shades and insect repellents. And they need to find a way to clean the sewage because of the funny odor it emits, I couldn’t eat comfortably.
Food & Drinks: So far I’ve had a platter consisting of yam, potatoes, plantains, chicken, gizzard, snails & pepper sauce & everything tasted really good. On another occasion I tried the the gizzard with fried yam as well as grilled chicken and fries. The grilled chicken lacked flavor & the inside was terribly dry. I have also tried the Abacha and Jollof rice & wasn’t pleased and my drink never arrived because the place was too crowded and the waitress forgot the order.
Hygiene/Cleanliness: The areas were somewhat clean and the bathrooms were being cleaned after each customer makes use of the restroom. Please, include more hand soap & hand paper towels to wipe hands after washing, I had to use a damp tissue that was placed near the sink to wipe my hands, really gross!. Also, wearing of face masks should be made mandatory to help stop the spread of COVID-19 disease or any disease or ensure all staff are fully vaccinated.
Service: The service could be better, the order took over an hour to arrive and the waitress didn’t make any attempt to check back on us after serving, when we needed something we had to go round searching for her.
Family/Date Friendly: This isn’t a family friendly restaurant, it’s more for grown ups. It’s perfect to chill with friends, listen to music & eat. If you want to go with kids, go earlier in the day time.
Price: Definitely affordable, compared to other competitors in Abuja, so I’ll be returning.

They have greatly improved their meal readiness time. The prices are so worth the food portions. If you like local dishes, this is the place for you. I look forward to them having most things on their menu readily available.
