Novare Gateway Mall is a two-phase shopping mall development located close to Lugbe, along Airport Road in Abuja. The first phase of this development by Novare Equity Partners delivered 15,000sqm of retail space in 2017 with a range of tenants including Shoprite, Fun World, Pep, Genesis Deluxe Cinemas etc. The second phase will add another 10,000sqm to the mall, however, a timeline for this addition has not been indicated. The Mall is a major shopping & entertainment destination located close to Lugbe, along the Umaru Yar'adua Expressway, popularly known as Airport Road, Abuja, Nigeria. It is a magnificent edifice that one can not miss along this super highway. The mall features a wide variety of shops, restaurants, leisure activities & businesses with Shoprite obviously as its main dweller. It officially opened on October 15, 2004 with Araneta City, Inc as the developer & providing the management as well. The mall offers a comprehensive range of shopping options, with the key stores & services ranging from groceries to electronics, furniture, fashion, food etc. The foremost grocer or business here is Shoprite, which is a household name/brand in the country. Unfortunately, the Shoprite Mall here has been shut for sometime now due to 'technical reasons'. Hope & pray they overcome whatever issues & bounce back ASAP. For fashion & accessories you have super stores like Skechers, Essenza, Ruff n Tumble, & Timekeepers International Abuja, which offers luxury watches & jewelry amongst many others. Coming to technology & electronics, the options include Scanfrost & Royalline Technologies amongst others. Health & Beauty plus Pharmacies are not left out with brand names like Medplus Pharmacy & Nett Pharmacy available, as well as beauty multiple fragrance outlets. In respect of home & homeware, super stores like Baffi Furniture and Miniso are here. Dining & entertainment are also prominent here with a food court & a variety of dining and entertainment options for all ages & classes. Restaurants & eateries present range from fast food to conventional dining. Brands like Domino's Pizza, Cold Stone Creamery, Burger King, Krispy Kreme, The Food Factory are all rooted here. Coming to entertainment, the mall includes Nova Cinema (formerly Genesis Deluxe Cinemas) for movies and a wonderful Fun World arcade/game center for kids & gaming buffs. It also has 250 square metres of office space. The choice of location in the densely populated Lugbe District is a critical strategic consideration by the developers of this project. Thus, the mall’s location along the main 10-lane highway between Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and the city’s central business district means the mall will be one of the first structures travellers will see on their journey to or from the airport. The car parking area is massive, well tarred, demarcated, marked & virtually inexhaustible. There is even a highend car wash by the parking area. The management of this facility is apparently highly efficient. Everywhere (inside & out) is sparkling clean. Cleaners could be seen actively cleaning, mopping, sweeping, brushing & shinning round the clock. The convenience here is world class in terms of design, layout, sanitation etc. Uniformed private security staff are also ubiquitous around the grounds. However, the downside of the security staff is that they are fond of soliciting for cash handouts & tips. This could be amusing & irritating at different times due to the manners of approach. Sign of the times I guess. However, I praise the magnificence, structure & management of this imposing mall & it's operations
I had lots of fun, beautiful environment with warm welcoming security. Good parking space and lots of games to play. It's a good place for a family hangout.
There is lots of place to have a good time with my boys. We fun in Fun World than had ice cream sometimes we are eating pizza also. We shopped in miniso and shoprite supermarket. Also i saw wonderful furnitures in Baffi and you may have clothes from pep. In short you may have a wonderful time with your family. Even there is a cinema. Actually as a Muslim person i am expecting a prayer room because i am not feeling very free because of the prayer timing because this mall so far away from my home.
The only thing is that they a place you can hang out with friends and stay to have fun and they don't charge you a dime even skit makers also come there for skits and you can ask well be part of them or do skit with them.
But the mall itself has lost so many values there are so many empty shelves and there are things you normally get there that when you go in there you can't find.
