The District offers a range of intercontinental dishes such as rice dishes, pasta dishes, starters, sauces and seafood options at the restaurant.
For starters, my friends and I tried Peppered Gizzard, Peppered Goat Meat and BBQ wings. Each starter was very tasty and spicy but the star dish was the BBQ wings. The wings were a pretty good size, sweet and juicy which we loved. Only complaint is the goat meat was quite bony.
For mains, we tried Alfredo Pasta, Jambalaya, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Sauce, Beef Sauce, Steamed vegetables and a Seafood sauce. It's honestly tough to pick a star dish because the mains were really good and it was a pleasant surprise. If I had to pick a star dish, the choice is between the Alfredo Pasta and Chicken sauce. The pasta was very creamy and well-seasoned with bits of chicken and mushroom. The sauces were very rich and flavourful however the beef sauce needed a little sweetness, it was a bit tart.
On a side note, I liked the diverse flavours of the dishes I tried. Some dishes were sweet, spicy, mild, creamy and rich. However, I'd really like to see some improvement in terms of plating and overall service.
It's a beautiful small place, they really did magic with the space, I loved the decorations and their service was good too. A lot good food to choose from, I feel they can do better with the quantity and taste of the meal. They have a nice bar and a section for a some games like ludo, etc.
I loved it, it's definitely worth another visit for me.
District Restaurant and Lounge is a casual dinning restaurant located on Gana Street. We stopped by for lunch a short while ago. If you're looking to eat out on a budget, this is the place to go, they have meals that are kind to pocket.
On our visit we had:
Pineapple Fried Rice N6,000 × 2
Naija Jambalaya Rice N6,000
BBQ Chicken Wings N4,000
Seafood Pasta N12,500
Pancakes and Ice Cream 4,000
Classic Mojito N4,500
Virgin Daquiri N3,500
Their menu is simple, which we really liked. They serves continental and oriental food. Top favourites for us was the Naija jambalaya rice and the pineapple fried rice. Should you try this out, we'd love to know what you think . If you're someone who doesn't like pasta too creamy, then their seafood pasta is for you. It featured 3 jumbo prawns and crab.
One thing we really liked about this spot was the private space at one corner of the restaurant. Here you can stay lowkey, play games such as jenga and just chill. It's a great option for hanging out or chilling with your friends. Their attendants were also polite too, this particular waiter in the video was our favorite.
The interior is cozy yet still quite pretty. We'd definitely recommend this spot for for your private events. It's a small space that would especially be great for this.

The meals came out pretty fast which was surprising as I am used to real delay before meals come out. Maybe coz it wasn’t a full house.
As you walk in you can see the open kitchen which makes it beautiful especially with the flames from the pan. The bar is properly stocked and the DJ was fire with non-stop jams 💯.
The wings came out good but was very small in size. I still can’t explain why. The House Salad was yummy but I wasn’t pleased with the smoky taste of the chicken. Maybe it’s just me but naaah! Not doing that again.
District is cool and enclosed but I’m sure as time goes by people would learn of the awesomeness of the place.
The music 🔥 and got us rocking. Special shout out Jacquelyn for being a good hostess.
The chicken fried rice was really delicious, i paired it with the chicken curry sauce which sadly was bland. The environment is cozy and tastefully furnished. Courteous staff.
