Dining at Cilantro in the middle of Sarius Palmetum Garden felt like the perfect touch of luxury in nature. I had their butter chicken with garlic naan, and every bite was a warm, flavorful hug. The richness of the curry, the softness of the naan, and the balance of spices left me feeling both satisfied and curious to try more. The staff was polite, and the outdoor garden setting made the whole experience even more relaxing. If you’re craving good Indian food in Abuja, this place delivers — with taste and ambience.
Attended an event at Cilantro Abuja yesterday evening/night, and I was shocked how deplorable the environment of the Amitabh Wing was. The furniture was so old, there were mosquitoes and flies inside the hall. They didn't even have an electric insect killer. The table mats had stains and were looking old. One of the Air Conditioners was not working and we had to request for a standing which was also old to help keep the place cool. Honestly, this isn't the Cilantro I know from the past. With respect to the service, I truly commend the staff that attended to us, especially Malakai. They were wonderful, trying to solve all the environment mishaps. The food was ok, Cilantro needs to get rid of all the old furniture and TV's in their halls and upgrade. I have put up pics. Pls share your experience.
An Indian Pan-Asian restaurant in Abuja, this place is spacious and beautiful, making it perfect for group gatherings. It features a garden area that I didn't have time to explore but hope to visit on my next trip. The meals were enjoyable, and the service was excellent.
Very poor service but great food
In all my years of dining in restaurants, I’ve never been served a soup with the spoon already in the bowl. I was appalled.
Despite ordering in advance, the waiters didn’t make sure to reconfirm who ordered what and simply placed the food on the table and confusing the entire group.
The way the food was presented on the table didn’t leave anything to be desired. I was shocked that I was at Cilantro, I’ve been to the Lagos branch severally and never had this experience. No one offered us water until we were way into our mains and had to ask for ourselves.
The same confusion happened when the dessert was served. The waiters simply dropped it on the table and expected us to figure it out. This is a terrible way to run a restaurant.
Cutlery was placed inside the plate instead of neatly to each side of the plate. The Chicken Tikka Masala was really good tho, so atleast something good to note.
You guys need to do better! This was my first upscale restaurant experience in Abuja and you guys ruined it proper.
Forget your standard Friday night curry. Cilantro elevates the Indian dining experience with dishes that pop with freshness and a clear understanding of flavour profiles. You'll find familiar favourites sitting comfortably alongside more inventive creations, suggesting a kitchen that isn't afraid to experiment. The service is generally on the ball, and the atmosphere strikes a pleasant balance. While it might represent more of an investment than your average takeaway, the quality of the ingredients and the thoughtful preparation make it a worthwhile indulgence for those seeking a more refined taste of India.
