I visited the FHA lugbe branch Amala Connect and is a go-to spot for anyone craving authentic Nigerian swallows, especially Amala. Their Amala is soft, smooth, and pairs beautifully with the ewedu and gbegiri, which are rich and flavorful. The combination is exactly what you'd expect from a well-made traditional meal—comforting and deeply satisfying. The restaurant has a very buka-style setting, depending on the branch you visit. If you're someone who enjoys an unpretentious, casual dining experience, it works just fine. However, if you prefer a more refined restaurant setting, it might not fully meet your expectations. Cleanliness varies by location; some branches are quite neat, while others could use a little more attention, especially during peak hours. Service can be a hit or miss. Some days, you get staff who are attentive and friendly, making sure your food arrives on time. Other times, there’s a bit of a delay, or you might encounter someone who isn’t in the best mood. That said, if you go in with patience, you’ll most likely leave satisfied. Price-wise, it’s quite affordable for the portion sizes. You get good value for your money, especially considering the quality of the food. Other dishes on the menu, like pounded yam and rice meals, are decent, but Amala remains the star of the show. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially if you're a fan of Amala and want that authentic, no-frills experience. It’s not perfect, but it delivers where it matters most—the food.

A very lovely place. Food is homely and tasty. Exceptional service also. The bread is super fluffy. I also like the fact that they have a Youtube Channel where they share amazing recipes.

One of the trending restaurants in Lugbe FHA right now. I've tasted their jollof rice and I found it quite delicious and very affordable. Other available delicacies include Amala, Porridge yam, fried rice, plantain, with all sorts of meats. They have respectful staffs who cater for your needs as quickly as possible. The only draw back here is there relatively small space which might not be able to accommodate many customers at peak demand periods

Friendly staff. Pls put more spices in your food, especially the stew for amala. Also spice your fish well. Bought moimoi but haven't tasted it yet. Will be back
