My friend and I absolutely love this place, it has become our favorite spot. The food is delicious, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner and a good value for money.
The ambience is chilled and relaxing, with soft contemporary music that does your soul good.
I frequent here alot, the customer service is amazing it’s also a calm place if you want a comfy spot. I do have mixed feelings about the food, some days it’s good some days it isn’t. Overall it’s still one of my most frequented restaurant.
I had cream pasta. It was really nice, not too spicy, just the right blend of flavours with mushroom and shredded chicken. The long island cocktail was just right.
Pulling Teeth !
The place looks nice and its clean when I walked in, on a slow night to ask for a pasta Bolognese (sounds like a beginning of a joke).
Because we were here for a sports competition, our diet was fairly strict. I asked if they took foreign cards because the place looked like a "foreigner friendly" type place. (Wrong). The immediate answer was "NO! , Cash or Nigerian card only" .. I politely pushed back, the waitress rolled her eyes and went to the manager, she came back and said... "No... No foreign cards" I asked her to maybe try my card and explained that if she indeed can take cards and the food is OK (we don't even need it to be great), We'll come back at least 8 more times in the 2 weeks we are in town; plus we''ll try to bring our friends.
The answer was NO! I pushed again to see if I can talk to her manager and I convinced the very eloquent manager lady to give it a try, ( she repeated NO a few more times).. Finally I got a Yes and we tried the card ..... Guess what .... You guessed it ... The Card Worked ! ... Great ! We can eat ! ... wait wait wait .. After she spent 10 minutes trying to get me to buy a steak because it came with free sides ( half of them weren't available), She informed me that Pasta Bolognese wasn't available. I said ... we are desperate and we are fine to wait ... what is the issue, do you not have hamburger meat and pasta ? ... She said NO ... after 15 min of trying to find a solution she went into the kitchen and came back and .... Surprise Surprise .... They had hamburger and pasta !! .. We're in business ! ... 40 min later ( I went to cut my hair across the street while we waited) ... We came back to find a mediocre portion of pasta and an Ok Bolognese, (it was ok and beggars can't be chosers) - it is what it is... End of the meal ...
We had issues with our mobile internet to call an UBER ... so we ask for the wifi code..
Do they have one YES ! Do they let the customers use it NOOOOOO!!! Even a hotspot or just for a second .... NOPE , sorry ... So I gave a look at the waitress like " you gotta be kidding me" ... she goes to the back for like 5 min and by that time we start to head out to ask for the wifi at the restaurant across the street.... While we were leaving ... she had the password in hand. We apologized and just left.
If you are reading this and you are the owner and these are your policies then you are Rich and you don't need the headache of a restaurant and thanks for reading.
If you are really interested in staying open for 10 years then you need repeat customers to come back how is that happening when people hear "NO" all the time. Unless the food is crazy good or you have celebrities hanging out inside every night this ain't gonna make it too long.
Recap for the visitors
1) Foreign Cards work but you have to push for a while.
2) Bring your own Wifi
3) Expect that half the menu isn't available
That was our review.
Thanks
