I went to the Kingfisher restaurant which is the waterfront. The food was very good. I ordered the lamb chops which was served on a hot plate . The vegetables were crunchy and the lamb was well seasoned . My colleagues had the seafood penne and a chicken salad .
Loved the ambience. Enjoyed the option of outside seating. Tried several dishes, the food was not bad at all. The music was a plus for me. An invisible DJ played continuous eclectic music ranging from Afrobeat to country to pop to R&B from the 80s to the present. Enjoyed the experience.
I loved their meal though it didn't exactly arrive in time. The waiters will keep suggesting things to you to get you to buy more so make sure you ask questions and listen carefully so you don't incur more than you bargained but I did enjoy the meal. The ambience can be better for an upscale Chinese restaurant.
Food is not cheap but not ridiculously expensive. Their noodles and rice falls around N4000 - N5000 for the medium size bowl and it can feed 2 or 3 people. 2 is more reasonable. If you want sauce, the price is also different usually around N4000 too. They have a service charge, Vat and consumption tax which rounds up to between 15% - 20% of your meal. Can't really remember which of the percentages but it's not more than 20%. The mocktails are N2,500 and spring rolls are N500 per one with a minimum purchase of 2.
All in all, Marcopolo is a nice restaurant to visit alone or with friends. Oh, did I mention they also have a sea side view.
Trust me, the meal here was awesome, delicious and definitely will make you want more.
Trying to get better at taking pictures, so don't judge totally with it.
Neat environment, nice and calm server and very affordable.
