The food is just as good as everyone says. I had okra soup and really enjoyed it. I also decided to have it with boiled yam instead of pounded yam and they gave me exactly what I wanted. No judgement or extra charges for the change as most restaurants do. The service was great and food came out fast. Its not a restaurant with great decorations but the food is affordable, tasty, the menu is vast and I'd recommend it.
I decided to do it the local way and visited Yellow Chilli for an authentic culinary experience. I had their Nsala soup paired with oatmeal swallow, and I must say, it was incredibly yummy and delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, making every bite a delight.
Additionally, I tried their Silver Swing mocktail, which was not only refreshing but also very nutritious. It perfectly complemented the meal and added an extra touch of enjoyment to the dining experience.
The ambiance at Yellow Chilli was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant visit from start to finish.
Overall, I highly recommend Yellow Chilli for anyone looking to savor delicious local cuisine in a great setting.
I was at the VI location yesterday afternoon with my husband to have lunch. I ordered for afang soup with assorted meat with full dry Catfish, my husband ordered for their signature Jollof rice. First it took them forever to bring the food.
When the food finally came, they brought half Catfish and the assorted meat was spoilt horrible , the soup tasted spoilt as well. So I drew their attention to it, and the server said they remove the head, that's why it's half Fish, so I showed him the head of the fish was their, their manager came and saw it. So he carried the soup for them to go bring me a new soup, you know what they did instead, they went to pour the same soup to another plate and brought it back to me, I was so upset and told the server to take the food out of my sight immediately. The Manager came back and pleaded, and they went to get it fixed.
I lost appetite immediately, and told them I am no longer interested in eating, so they package it. Infact they packaged a rotten spoilt soup, all through yesterday after I left the restaurant, serious stomach pain, food poison, have been using the restroom 🚻 and vomiting 🤢, Even the Shrimps in my husband signature Jollof Rice, was bad 👎 spoilt as well. What a horrible terrible experience.
I will never ever step my feet in Yellow Chilli Restaurant ever again. Becareful with their VI location, their services is zero, terrible food.
If is a country were things works, I will sue them for food posion.
Haven't been here in ages and to my surprise they still function and the food is consistent ( great taste and well flavored).
Timing can be a bit slow because of the high inflow of customers, I believe they can improve on this.
The space is nice, well lit, has a nice homely vibe to it. Prices are also fair and value for money.
The ambience was cozy, the waiters are courteous and attentive, they have a rich and large menu to chose from. I had the sea food basket and enjoyed every bit of it. They also serve traditional foods and would probably try that the next time around. The mocktail I had wasn't bad either. The overall experience was good...
