I visited this restaurant for dinner and decided to have a salad instead. Usually, I inspect my food thoroughly before diving in, but I trusted the restaurant’s hygiene standards, so I didn’t pay much attention. However, as soon as I finished eating, I noticed something on my table that indicated my food may have been contaminated with a bug too. It’s quite a sight to see, and I can’t help but wonder what’s going on in that kitchen if this was caught on the dining table. There’s definitely roaches.
Worth every penny.
Beautiful restaurant, lovely decor, amazing staff and amazing food- I have been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed.
We had an impromptu dinner with family here and they were very accommodating with the last minute notice. We had an amazing waiter who was able to make good recommendations for us based and we were impressed with everything thing we had including the drinks and wine.
Highly recommend
If culinary brilliance had a postcode, this restaurant would own it. The octopus was tender perfection — the kind that makes you momentarily question whether you’re still in Nigeria or teleported to Santorini. The mushroom stroganoff? A creamy masterpiece that deserves its own Michelin applause.
The wine, a confident South African with a French accent, flirted beautifully with every dish. And the whiskey — simply world-class; the kind that convinces philosophers to cancel their lectures.
But alas, the evening’s harmony was ambushed… by the groundnuts. Whoever supplies them clearly harvests disappointment for a living. My wife, poor thing, had a mild stomach reaction — and that’s when the restaurant’s resident genius, the high-IQ waiter, confidently reassured her: “It will pass.” Indeed, Socrates would’ve been proud of such profound medical insight.
All in all, this place remains Nigeria’s culinary gold standard. Just one small recommendation: please, change the groundnut supplier before someone’s stomach decides to file an official complaint
The service is absolutely wonderful. Ambience 10/10. The food and drinks are also really good. I rarely order desserts at restaurants but I just had to order the cheesecake, and it was yum! Perfect for date nights, casual lunches, meetings with clients. Would definitely revisit very soon!
Very good nice and perfect ambience for a dinner out. The waiters are well trained and very friendly. The food ranks around the best anywhere. The price is commensurate to the service and location. Once inside you forget the cramped atmosphere of Lagos. Will definitely visit again but expect to spend appropriately.
